About our Paste: We use only natural
henna and the highest quality
ingredients for our paste. No chemical
additives or color dyes. We prepare all
paste from scratch and it is fresh when
used.
True Henna is never black. Black
Henna is chemical and dangerous.
Real, natural, Henna is a light orange/
brown to deep chestnut brown and
sometimes dark mahogany in color.
We
never use PPD /
Para-phenylenediamine

How it looks on the skin:
The darkness of the color varies from
skin type to skin type and how the
adornment is cared for afterwards.
Moisturizing each day with cocoa butter
or henna balm will lengthen the life of
your henna. Designs last from five days
to three weeks. Soles of feet and palms
of hands accept the stain at a deeper
level and tend to last longest.

How to prepare for Mehndi
Be sure that the area to be adorned is
well washed and has NO lotions or
other oily substances. Get your
manicure or pedicure a day or more
before you get henna done. Avoid
paraffin dip mani's or pedi's, as they
can repel the henna stain for up to 3
weeks afterward!

Aftercare of Mehndi
After you've been adorned, leave the
henna on the skin for a minimum of 3-4
hours, longer if you can. The longer
you leave the paste on, the darker the
stain will be, and the longer your tattoo
will last.

Heat helps the henna stain darker.
After the tattoo is completely dry, you
can steam your tattoo over hot water or
a cup of tea.

Safely remove the paste by scraping off
the dry henna using the edge of a
credit card or the back of a butter knife.
Please, do not use water to remove the
henna paste!

To ensure maximum color, try not get it
wet or wash it for at least 24 hours.
If the henna gets wet in the first 24
hours, it may stay orange, the stain will
not mature, and your henna may never
turn a nice brown! Keep it dry.

For the duration of your tattoo apply
henna balm or cocoa butter to protect it
and help it last longer.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals,
chlorinated pools/hot tubs, & highly
chlorinated tap water can bleach out
your henna. Avoid these, and exfoliants
or scrubs of any kind.

Flaking off Henna could stain sheets,
clothing, etc. If going to bed w/ dried
paste still on you, take care to wrap
adorned area with tissue and a sock or
towel.
Indulge in the whimsy of a Mehndi Tattoo. Temporary tattoos done with natural
Henna are a fun, painless way to adorn the body. The soothing paste is applied
to the skin and left to dry for 3-4 hours, once flaked off, the skin is stained and
will last about 1-3 weeks. There is absolutely no pain involved, in fact Henna is
nourishing to the skin. The Hindi word Mehndi describes the process of painting
patterns on the body with henna paste and the resulting stains left on the skin,
while the word henna is the name of the plant used in creating the paste.
Commonly called Henna tattoos, the correct name is Mehndi.
